How to use
The Dealer Business Journal Certified Vendor program, launched October 12th, 2006, is very easy to use. Simply choose a category from the menu on the left and start rating vendors. The number in parentheses next to each vendor category siginifes the current vendor count in that category. You will notice, after clicking on a category, that the far right column on every vendor listing is labeled "Your Rating". This is where you will choose a rating based on your experience with a specific vendor. Just hover your mouse cursor over the stars to see what each rating signifies. Keep in mind that your peers will inevitably be visiting this site to find a vendor for a product or service they desire. Please rate according to the overall performance of that vendor. We know there will be some good times and hopefully not many bad times with the vendors listed herein. Please remember to take all of those experiences into account when selecting a rating.
We believe this will become the single marketplace where vendors can connect directly to their potential customers. We do not push any one vendor over the other. We do not tell you which vendor is the best in any category. You tell us. You help each other. We think that is the only way automotive professionals, like yourself, would be satisfied. We are so confident in your ratings that we will not allow any vendor who consistently receives unfavorable ratings to advertize in the Dealer Business Journal Magazine! Thanks for participating!
How to become a certified vendor
The Dealer Business Journal (DBJ) Certified Vendor program, launched October 12th, 2006, is truly one of a kind. We allow automotive professionals to rate vendors they have experience with and then we let everyone else see the results! As a Dealer Business Journal Certified vendor you can rest assured that you are getting maximum exposure at a minimal cost. The cost for being listed as a DBJ Certified Vendor is $250.00 per year. There are no other "per rating", "per category" or management fees. You will receive a bill shortly after joining and then once per year thereafter.
Upon filling out the online form your company will immediately become available in the categories you have chosen. The data listed on this site is cached (for speed), however, so you may have to wait a brief period before your company is actually visible. You may choose up to three categories to be listed under. Those three categories come with the $250.00 annual fee.
We make every attempt to prevent tampering in the system. We do not require user accounts for voting so our hands are slightly tied. We believe that the majority of the ratings your company receives will be legitimate. Therefore, we will not drop your company off the list simply because there are several bad ratings. That information is as important to an automotive professional as the good ratings. Having said all of that, please click the join button below to get started. Thanks for your participation!
